About this piece
The opening of a short story about duty and isolation. These boards plan the pacing and the light before any finished frames are made.
Light and mood
The sequence moves from a broad, low dusk light to near-total darkness, so that the moment the beam comes on carries real weight. Each panel keeps one clear light source; the keeper is shown mostly in silhouette or rim light until the close-up, where half the face is lit at the moment of decision.
